Make or buy some festive food – biscuits, nibbles or a whole meal. Invite someone who is alone round to share it.
Spend some time today with someone you really want to be with – face to face or on the phone. Relax and enjoy it!
Think of a dark and difficult place in the world. What can you do today to help bring some light there? Do it.
Light a candle and turn out all the lights. Sit and relax. Think about the ways God has shone his light into your life.

Look at all the lights that shine in the darkness.
Pray for God’s light to shine in every house you pass.
… Arise, shine …your light has come …
